IQAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a postaccreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of an institution’s system and work towards realising the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a significant and meaningful contribution in the postaccreditation phase of institutions. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is established in the college on 02.07.2018 to ensure quality culture and sustenance. It works towards developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic measures to improve the academic and administrative performance of the college.

Objectives:

As per guidelines of NAAC the objectives are :

To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

 

Strategies:

IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for :

1. Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
2. Relevant and quality academic/ research programmes;
3. Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society; Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
4. The credibility of assessment and evaluation process.
5. Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
6. Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.

Functions:

1. To develop strategies for curriculum enrichment and delivery, ensure quality in teaching-learning and research.
2. To facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty development to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
3. To Collect and analyze feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
4. To disseminate information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders
5. To organize national and international events on quality related themes and promotion of quality culture.
6. To document of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
7. To Act as a nodal agency of the HEI for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
